In 1996, my wife Margery and I were at the Cowboy Christmas Show in Las Vegas- this show is always held during the National Finals Rodeo. Anyhow, I was looking for some good cowboy art, and I came across this young artist, Red Allen, out of Lumberton, TX. Well, I'll tell you, his work is really somethin' - just kind'a captures the soul of the working cowboy. Liked his work enough to buy four paintings. Anyhow, Red's been keeping up with his work and he's won a number of prestigious cowboy artist honors the last few of years.
